Position Purpose: To troubleshoot, maintain and enhance the accuracy, reliability and system control’s data credibility of PLC and PC based automation systems. Effectively utilize building management system’s interface tools and equipment to achieve efficiency. Communicate and partner with vendors, maintenance, and engineering staff.Key Responsibilities:

  • 50% Troubleshoots and repairs electric lift equipment, conveyor systems, as well as technical, mechanical hydraulic and pheumatic issues where needed. Understands and troubleshoots conveyor operating system logic
  • 20% Performs preventative maintenance as well as necessary modifications on electric lift equipment, conveyor systems and buildings.
  • 10% Provides equipment status report, including details of unusual maintenance problems.
  • 10% Follows all safety guidelines established by manufacturer, Home Depot, or government agencies. Adheres to all safety codes and OSHA standards
  • 10% Maintains safe and clean working environment, performing daily cleanup of work areas

  • This position reports to Area Supervisor.

Travel Requirements:

  • Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must continuously stand or walk or regularly requires lifting/handling/carrying material or equipment of moderate weight (8-20 pounds).

Working Conditions:

  • Typically in a comfortable environment but with regular exposure to factors such as temperature extremes, moving machinery, loud noise, and fumes which cause noticeable discomfort or a moderate risk of accident or illness.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must be eighteen years of age or older.
  • Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • PLC & Fieldbus Networking Skills

  • Ability to use Relay Ladder Logic and Functional Block Diagram Editor

  • Possess a functional understanding of configuring closed loop control utilizing PIDE in FBD Editor

  • Familiarity with design and implementation (hardware and software) for the following networks: Ethernet, Profibus, Universal Remote (I/O) Nework

  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule which may include weekends, evenings, and holidays Minimum Education:

  • The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a trade school degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job.
