Join the Tesla revolution. At Tesla, our mission is to accelerate the world’s transition to sustainable energy—and as a Senior Procurement & Contracts Specialist, Megapack, you will play a key role in shaping utility-scale battery energy storage projects across the APAC region.

You will represent the APAC Pre-Construction team within Megapack Sales, leading procurement, commercial risk management, and sourcing strategies across both upstream and downstream contracts for pipeline and awarded projects. This includes supporting equipment-only and EPC delivery models, with a strong focus on pre-construction deal structuring and contract formation.

Reporting to the Pre-Construction Manager, you will work from tender development through to contract execution as a senior individual contributor, collaborating closely with a highly motivated, cross-functional team. This role offers the opportunity to influence major commercial outcomes early in the project lifecycle while contributing to Tesla’s industry-leading energy solutions in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.

What You'll Do

Lead commercial engagement and negotiations with suppliers, contractors, and stakeholders during bid and pre-construction phases, to secure favourable terms and resolve contractual issues effectively.

Develop and implement procurement strategies and contracting strategies, manage RFQs, and coordinate tender responses for upstream (client-facing) and downstream (subcontractor) processes on assigned projects.

Identify risks and opportunities, ensuring that Tesla is making informed decisions and delivering the best value to the end customer.

Build and sustain strong relationships with internal teams, clients, suppliers, and external partners to facilitate seamless project progression.

Support smooth commercial handover from pre-construction into project delivery teams.

What You'll Bring

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Law, Business, Supply Chain, or equivalent industry experience.

5+ years of experience in senior procurement and contracts roles, with a preference for backgrounds in renewable energy (wind, solar, battery).

In-depth expertise in EPC contracts, procurement strategies, tender processes, and project management, with a drive for innovation.

Strong negotiation and communication skills, including proficiency in drafting commercial correspondence, extensions of time, variations, and procurement documentation.

A proactive self-starter with a passion for sustainable energy, adept at solving complex problems independently or collaboratively in team settings.

Demonstrated ability to manage priorities across multiple high-impact projects with minimal supervision in a dynamic environment.
