What To Expect
At Tesla GIGA Berlin, our dedicated maintenance team oversees a diverse portfolio of industrial equipments, including industrial trucks, heavy machinery, cranes, lifts, heavy-duty racks, and automated guided vehicles (AGVs). We manage a substantial rental fleet featuring forklifts, tuggers, reach trucks, and pallet trucks, ensuring seamless operations for various shops like intralogistics, powertrain, battery, cell, etc. Our core responsibilities encompass both preventive and reactive maintenance to maximize technical availability, deliver innovative solutions to complex challenges, minimize downtime, and drive cost efficiency. By prioritizing reliability and performance, we support mission-critical operations across operations, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.

What You'll Do

  • Assist in routine maintenance tasks, including inspecting, repairing, and troubleshooting equipment (e.g., mechanical systems, industrial trucks, etc.) in compliance with safety standards
  • Assist with routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting of industrial trucks to ensure operational readiness
  • Maintain fleet documentation, including service records, usage logs, and compliance reports in Tesla systems
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, or pneumatic systems in response to breakdowns, ensuring quick resolutions to maintain operational continuity.
  • Perform root cause analysis on failures, recommending improvements or modifications to prevent recurrence
  • Participate in process improvement projects to optimize fleet utilization and reduce downtime.
  • Contribute to maintenance projects, such as equipment installations, upgrades, or facility expansions, cost saving, coordinating with cross-functional teams (e.g., operations, safety, and procurement)
  • Optimize maintenance processes for cost-efficiency, energy savings, and sustainability, such as implementing lean manufacturing principles or green technologies
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inventory, and performance metrics, generating reports for management on KPIs like equipment uptime or repair costs
  • Support inventory management, equipment upgrades, and process improvements, drawing on prior experience in automotive or manufacturing environments
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on projects such as installations, optimizations, or failure analyses.
  • Maintain detailed records KPIs using Flux (Tesla Software)
  • Contribute to team meetings, prepare presentations, reports
  • Help maintain a safe, organized workspace, including waste management and tool organization.


  • What You'll Bring

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Logistics, or a related field.
  • Strong interest in fleet management, material handling equipment, and maintenance processes.
  • Fluent in English (both written and spoken) for effective communication and documentation.
  • Basic German language proficiency, especially for international collaboration or documentation.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities, technical knowledge of mechanical systems, and familiarity with tools/software relevant to maintenance
  • Strong MS Office skills (excel, ppt, etc.)
  • Ability to work independently or in teams, with excellent attention to detail and a proactive mindset.
