A DAY IN THE LIFE:

The IT Technician intern will assist with a variety of onsite activities at our San Diego HQ Facility assisting both our IT Coordinators and Endpoint Systems Teams. This position will serve as a great entry into IT as this role will be introduced to key foundational competencies such as User Lifecyle Management, PC Imaging, Software Deployment, and basic deskside support tasks.

IT Technician Interns are also responsible for:

• Assists with PC Imaging and endpoint provisioning tasks
• Assists the onsite Endpoint Systems Teams with a variety of hands-on tasks related to computer peripheral deployment and troubleshooting to basic support.
• Maintains accurate records of IT equipment inventory; keeping storage areas neat and organized.
• Assists IT Coordinators with shipping and receiving tasks.
• Assists with onsite walk-up support at Tandem HQ Facility.
• Organizes and prepares new hire IT equipment for pickup and shipping.
• Performs hardware diagnostics on break/fix laptops and determines if warranty or repair is applicable.
• Ensures compliance with company policies, including Privacy/HIPAA, and other legal and regulatory requirements.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

WHEN & WHERE YOU’LL WORK:

Onsite: This position is **fully onsite **and open to candidates located in San Diego, California. Equipment for the role will be provided and training will occur onsite.

Schedule: This position will work **Monday - Friday **from

**8:**00 AM - 5:00 PM PST.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

Knowledge, skills & abilities

• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to seamlessly prioritize multiple tasks.
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to present ideas and solutions to technical problems to both technical and non-technical employees
• Excellent customer service.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
• Detail oriented with ability to work in fast-paced environment.
• Ability to read and understand technical manuals and software licensing agreements.

Minimum certifications/educational level

• High School Diploma
• Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field

Minimum experience

• 6 months experience in a Service Desk or IT Support Position, preferred but not required.
• 6 months experience in a customer service role, preferred but not required

COMPENSATION:

The starting base pay range for this position is $25.00 - $31.00 per hour. Base pay will vary based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and may also fluctuate depending on candidate’s location and the overall job market.

Please note that is a temporary position. As a temporary employee you will be employed through a staff agency partner. Benefits during your temporary assignment may be provided by the staffing agency. Access to Tandem sponsored benefits is contingent upon conversion from temporary to regular full-time status. Conversion is determined based upon business need and job performance.
