THE OPPORTUNITY

We are currently building a talent pool for future Cybersecurity Engineering opportunities across Engineer to Lead levels within our team. This is an opportunity to be considered for upcoming roles and contribute to shaping the future of Sysco’s customer experience from the ground up.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Cybersecurity Strategy:

Developing and implementing cybersecurity strategies, policies, and procedures to protect organizational assets and sensitive information

  • Security Infrastructure Design:

Designing, implementing, and maintaining cyber toolset, firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and other security technologies to prevent unauthorized access and ensure data confidentiality, integrity, and availability

  • Compliance and Regulatory Compliance:

Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and data protection laws such as GDPR, HIPAA, PCI DSS, etc.; conducting periodic audits and assessments to validate compliance

  • Security Research and Development:

Staying up-to-date with the latest cybersecurity threats, trends, and technologies; conducting research and evaluating new security tools and techniques to enhance security capabilities

  • Collaboration and Communication:

Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including IT, development, and business units, to integrate security controls into business processes and projects; communicating security risks and recommendations to stakeholders effectively

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity or a related field and, for Engineer 1-2 Years, Senior Engineer 2-4 Years, ATL 4-6 Years and TL 6-8 Years of experience.

  • Proven experience in cybersecurity roles, preferably in engineering or architecture

  • Strong knowledge of cybersecurity principles, standards, and best practices

  • Hands-on experience with security technologies such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, SIEM, endpoint protection, encryption, etc.

  • Proficiency in programming/scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell) for automation and scripting tasks

  • Familiarity with networking protocols, operating systems, and cloud computing platforms

  • Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, CompTIA Security+, or vendor-specific certifications (e.g., CCNA Security, CCSP) are a plus

  • Analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
