Senior Software Engineer II - Cloud SOAR, Cyber Security Location-Noida/Bangalore(Hybrid)

Sumo Logic's Cloud SOAR (Security Orchestration, Automation, and Response) platform enhances security operations by automating and orchestrating workflows across diverse security tools and systems. Sumo Logic is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Software Engineer to join our Cloud SOAR team. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing, developing, and maintaining our cutting-edge cloud-based SOAR solutions. This role requires a deep understanding of cybersecurity, cloud technologies, and a passion for innovation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and Development:

Architect, design, and implement scalable and reliable cloud-based SOAR solutions that meet the highest standards of software quality and performance.

• Cybersecurity Expertise:

Utilize your expertise in cybersecurity to develop advanced threat detection, response, and automation capabilities within our SOAR platform.

• Collaboration:

Work closely with product management, architects, and other engineering teams to define technical requirements and deliver high-quality features.

• Innovation:

Stay abreast of the latest trends and advancements in cloud security and SOAR technologies. Drive continuous improvement and innovation within the team.

• Mentorship:

Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous learning.

• Customer Focus:

Engage with customers to understand their needs and challenges, translating them into effective technical solutions.

• Cross-functional Collaboration:

Collaborate with Ops/SRE and customer success teams to ensure timely responses and resolutions to customer escalations and production issues.

Qualifications:

• Education:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

• Experience:

7+ years of hands-on experience in software engineering,

• Technical Skills:

Proficiency in cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP), programming languages (Python, Java, Go, etc.). Preferred to have experience in working in Cyber Security related technologies like SIEM/SOAR.

• Problem-Solving:

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on delivering high-quality solutions.

• Agile Development:

Experience with Agile development methodologies and practices.

• Communication Skills:

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

• Customer Orientation:

Experience in working directly with customers to gather requirements, provide support, and deliver solutions that meet their needs.
