Position Overview:

As a senior QA engineer for the ETF Platform, you will work as a senior team member with high technical skills to design, create, maintain and execute initiatives through the SDLC for one of State Street’s growing services. Working closely with a multidisciplinary global team, you will leverage your expertise in software testing to implement cross-functional test frameworks with well-balanced coverage across UI, back-end integration and database levels.

What you will be responsible for

o Collaborate with product owners to define and drive the overall quality strategy.

o Expand coverage with manual and automated functional, integration, regression, and performance tests.

o Create comprehensive test plans with well defined, reusable test cases from business requirements and functional specifications documents.

o Execute software testing to include functional testing, system testing, regression testing, and performance testing.

o Record and maintain automated test script libraries for functional regression testing for assigned applications.

o Document software defects in an issue tracking system and proactively communicate issues with developers and other project team members.

o Participate in business requirements and functional specifications reviews early in the software development life cycle process.

o Manages scheduling to ensure efficient and effective product testing; identifies and reports risks to project schedule and product quality and proposes new methods to control and/or mitigate risks.

What we value

o Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field.

o 5 to 7 years of professional experience in software testing in a process driven technology environment.

o Demonstrated experience implementing and executing automation test scripts against web, native/desktop applications, APIs and batch applications.

o Proven experience in identifying high business value quality initiatives, developing detailed plans for execution and producing successful measurable results.

o Proficiency in modern web and application technologies and related frameworks to effectively understand and enable thorough testing across diverse platforms.

o Working knowledge of Git

o Demonstrated experience in CICD tools with ability to effectively integrate tests into organization to help gather quality metrics.

o Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.

o Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

o Experience working in a financial industry or with financial business solutions.

o Expert ability to translate ETF business requirements into technical testing solutions.

o Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools for automation, deployment and monitoring.
