This is a position with a high level of responsibility within Middle Office team. The Officer is responsible for ensuring successful service delivery, contract and SLA documentation and execution, change management, and key performance reporting.
Why this role is important to us
This is a varied operational and managerial position within Middle Office Services. This Manager acts as a primary escalation point for all internal/external client(s). Deliver highly valued services and solutions to clients to ensure quality services are consistently delivered and clients are offered State Street’s full range of services as their needs and our services evolve.
What you will be responsible for you will
- Manage the corresponding team in location(s) for responsible client(s), this would entail day to day processing, whilst also providing oversight as a Manager..
- Serve as the key point of contact for daily BAU, incident management and SLA adherence.
- Maintain an effective Risk and Control Self-Assessment (RCSA) and monitor process-level risks and KRIs.
- Risk & Controls Management Implement and monitor risk mitigation controls and best practices in line with global operational risk standards. Lead risk reviews, incident logs, root cause analysis (RCA) and ensure timely remediation.
- Effectively communicate expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion.
- Identify, develop and deploy process improvements leading to service level improvements and/or unit cost & operational risk reduction.
- Regularly review and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and ensure team adherence
- Keep the Client and State Street management informed of issues and maintain timely follow-up to deliver swift and effective resolutions.
- Direct and manage project development from beginning to end including strategy development, execution, and reporting

- Flexibility in working outside of your responsibilities and areas of expertise
- 8-10+ years of experience of staff management and leading projects
- Working at senior levels in an organization together with the capability of communicating effectively at that level
- Working in matrix structures and cross-cultural environments with an ability to operate on their own and as part of a team
- Demonstrated accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong influencing and negotiating skills when dealing with stakeholders (internal or external) is preferred
- Strong interpersonal and organization skills
Education & Preferred Qualifications
- Degree in finance, business, technology or equivalent or relevant industry experience
- Strong exposure to risk and control frameworks, audit handling, and process transformation
- Proven experience in client communication and interaction at all levels
- Ability to work under tight deadlines in a fast-paced investment environment
