The Assistant Vice President – India BU Finance will serve as the Finance Business Partner for State Street’s Market (APAC) business. The role will lead financial planning, forecasting, and performance management, with focus on Trading Services FX revenue, Securities Finance Revenue and Total expenses, and headcount for State Street Market APAC. This position will partner closely with global finance leaders and functional stakeholders on cost optimization initiatives, headcount planning, and investment scenario analysis. The role also acts as Finance Business Partner to APAC State Street Markets leads, providing monthly financial performance insights through Finance Review meetings
Key Responsibilities Finance Business Partner for State Street Markets APAC:
- Own planning, forecasting, and performance management for State Street Markets APAC Business covering Revenue, Total Expenses and Headcount.
- Lead annual operating plans, rolling forecasts, outlooks, and multi‑year P&L projections for State Street Markets APAC Business and coordination with APAC CFO, Global CFOs and FP&A Team
- Extensively involved in headcount planning and forecasting for State Street market APAC
- Acts as a Finance Business Partner to APAC State Street Markets Heads, providing financial performance insights through monthly Finance Review meetings
- Provide timely, insight‑driven commentary on variances, trends, risks, and opportunities for the State Street Markets APAC business and for Country Finance reports.
- Lead special projects, including financial modeling, business case development, and follow-up, in partnership with the Insights Center.
Key Qualifications & Experience Required
- 5-10+ years of experience in FP&A, Business Finance, preferably within financial services or technology‑enabled platforms.
- Strong understanding of Margin management, Revenue Models, Headcount Models and Expense Analysis.
- Proven experience leading large, global FP&A teams.
- Deep expertise in financial modeling, forecasting, and performance analytics.
- Demonstrated success driving automation, advanced analytics, or AI initiatives in finance.
- Executive‑level communication skills with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
Preferred
- Experience in asset servicing, custody, asset management, fintech, or enterprise financial software environments.
- Exposure to servicing economics, client profitability, and cost‑to‑serve analysis.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; knowledge of Essbase is a plus
- Familiarity with modern EPM platforms, BI tools, and analytics solutions.
- Experience collaborating with geographically dispersed teams and delivering results in complex environments
- MBA, CFA, or equivalent advanced qualification.
