Senior Manager – Prescription will play a pivotal role in shaping early-stage demand creation, driving solution preference, and influencing key ecosystem stakeholders for the Industrial Automation (IA) business, with a strong focus on Drives/VFD prescription while ensuring alignment with the overall IA architecture including PLC, SCADA, DCS, and digital solutions.

This role focuses on pre-sales engagement, strategic prescription planning, key account management, and ecosystem development to ensure Schneider Electric’s solutions are specified, preferred, and adopted by customers, consultants, design firms, and ecosystem partners.

Key Responsibilities 1.

Pre-Sales & Strategy Development Lead pre-sales activities for IA offerings by working closely with segment marketing and sales teams.

Drive prescription of Drives/VFD solutions within integrated automation architectures, ensuring optimal positioning in customer specifications.

Develop and execute Stage 0 Strategy to influence early buying journeys and position Schneider Electric as the preferred automation partner.

Translate customer and market insights into actionable prescription plans for target segments. 2.

Key Account & Ecosystem Management Manage and grow relationships with key design firms, consultants, and engineering partners to drive solution preference.

Build and strengthen the broader ecosystem including EU consultants, panel builders, OEMs, and system integrators.

Conduct technical sessions, capability presentations, and specification workshops with ecosystem partners. 3.

Funnel & Demand Generation Drive early funnel generation by identifying upcoming projects, influencing specifications, and enabling targeted opportunity creation.

Collaborate with marketing teams to design and execute demand generation campaigns for strategic offerings.

Ensure high-quality funnel progression through systematic follow-ups, ecosystem orchestration, and alignment with sales teams. 4.

Customer Targeting & Conversion Identify high-potential customers and drive targeted conversion strategies for strategic accounts.

Support sales teams with technical insights, customer messaging, and competitive positioning to maximize win rates.

Track and report progress across identified accounts and opportunities. 5.

Thought Leadership: Software-Defined Automation Act as a subject matter expert and internal evangelist for software-defined automation technologies.

Lead thought leadership activities including webinars, tech talks, whitepapers, and consultant engagement on emerging architectures.

Promote the transition from traditional automation to software-centric, open, and interoperable architectures.

Qualifications &:

Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation or related fields).

Master’s degree preferred. 10–15 years of experience in Industrial Automation, Consultant Management, Technical Pre-Sales, or Ecosystem Development.

Strong understanding of Drives/VFD applications along with end-to-end Industrial Automation systems (PLC, SCADA, DCS, motion, and digital layers).

Experience: working with consultants, EPCs, design firms, or OEMs preferred.

Ability to influence key stakeholders across decision-making chains.

Skills & Competencies Strong technical expertise in Industrial Automation.

Ability to position Drives/VFDs as part of a larger automation and energy-efficient solution architecture.

Strategic mindset with capability to drive prescription-led growth.

Excellent relationship-building and stakeholder-management skills.

Strong communication, presentation, and thought leadership abilities.

Ability to work cross-functionally with marketing, sales, and technical teams.
