全球最永續企業Top 1| APC by Schneider Position Summary The Chief Engineer is responsible for ensuring that product offers consistently meet or exceed published and customer expectations for performance and quality throughout their lifecycle. This role brings a systems-level perspective, applying engineering rigor, cross-disciplinary knowledge, and lifecycle experience to drive design excellence, compliance, and continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities Lifecycle Assurance: Ensure offers meet performance and quality expectations from concept through end-of-life. Design Standards Oversight: Validate and maintain Design Standards; ensure lessons learned are embedded into design processes. Create new Design Standards as needed. Systems Engineering Leadership: Apply systems engineering principles to assess offer architecture, design concepts, and quality plans. Design Review Participation: Participate in collective design reviews to maintain alignment and ensure design integrity. Design Oversight: Verify compliance with engineering processes (e.g., ELM, DfSR), validation methods (e.g., DFMEA, FTA), and risk management practices. Validation Ownership: Develop and approve DVT test plans; review results and approve milestone achievements. Component Management: Approve critical part specifications, validate part selection, and oversee second-source qualification. Safety Leadership: Lead Offer Safety Reviews (OSR), ensuring mitigation of hazards such as arc flash, touch safety, and high fault currents. Compliance Authority: Provide compliance signatures and engineering letters; ensure adherence to regulatory and internal standards. Change Control: Serve as a leading and approving member of the Board of Change (BOC). Quality Accountability: Own quality metrics and participate in all quality reviews related to the offer. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Architects, Compliance, Secure Power OSRC, and other Lines of Business (Lo Bs). Cross-Site Coordination: Align systems and designs with peers across global design centers. Engineering Engagement: Support and mentor engineering teams; ensure accessibility and knowledge sharing. Performance Monitoring: Analyze factory and field data to anticipate technical escalations and inform evolving standards. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Systems, or related field). 10+ years of experience in UPS product development, systems engineering, or a related technical leadership role. Proven experience in design validation, compliance, and lifecycle management. Proven hands-on design experience on UPS products. Strong understanding of engineering processes, risk management, and quality systems. Experience with tools such as DFMEA, FTA, thermal/vibration/stress analysis, and simulation techniques.
