Electrical Service Sales Engineer Outside Service Sales Representative

Power Services Role Summary:

The OSSR role is responsible for leading the sales of technical services to both existing and new customers, offering comprehensive solutions for maintenance, upgrades, testing, digitization, and complementary services for electrical equipment and energy systems at the customer's site. This position combines technical expertise, sales capabilities, and long-term customer relationship management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive end-to-end sales: identify prospects, build relationships, assess needs, and deliver tailored service solutions (maintenance, upgrades, retrofits, digital services).
  • Prepare proposals, lead negotiations, and close profitable deals while ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Manage inbound leads, quotations, and documentation for MV, LV & ID service solutions.
  • Grow existing accounts and expand service portfolios through proactive customer engagement.
  • Provide guidance throughout the service lifecycle and ensure a seamless customer experience.
  • Identify market opportunities, analyze competitors, and launch campaigns to boost sales.
  • Represent the company at events and promote Service Plans as a key growth driver.
  • Manage pipeline, forecasting, and reporting in Salesforce/BFO.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to deliver engineered solutions and support sales initiatives.
  • Monitor KPIs, suggest process improvements, and achieve annual performance targets.

Role Requirements:

  • Experience in field sales, ideally in electrical systems, energy, facility maintenance, or technical services.
  • Technical understanding of electrical equipment, LV/MV systems, digital services, HVAC, or automation - significant advantage.
  • Strong negotiation skills and ability to lead complex sales processes.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work with various stakeholders: customers, contractors, consultants, project managers, and internal teams.
  • Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and meet sales targets.

  • Analytical thinking and ability to provide tailored solutions.
  • Customer‑oriented mindset with ability to maintain long-term relationships.
  • Proficiency in CRM platforms, particularly BFO / Salesforce.
