We help the world run better
At SAP, we keep it simple: you bring your best to us, and we'll bring out the best in you. We're builders touching over 20 industries and 80% of global commerce, and we need your unique talents to help shape what's next. The work is challenging – but it matters. You'll find a place where you can be yourself, prioritize your wellbeing, and truly belong. What's in it for you? Constant learning, skill growth, great benefits, and a team that wants you to grow and succeed.
What you’ll build:
In this role you’ll build scalable, cloud-native infrastructure services and APIs that power our data integration pipelines, improving throughput and reducing end-to-end latency for downstream analytics and services.
You’ll implement infrastructure-as-code and CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, Helm) to automate deployments and reduce manual errors, speeding feature delivery and lowering incident rates.
You’ll produce tests, runbooks, and documentation and collaborate with developer, and QA teams to ensure operability and smooth rollout to production.
Your work will directly impact business outcomes by making our data integration services faster, more reliable.
What you bring:
· Current student in computer science, informatics, or equivalent proven experience, able to commit at least 3 days/week for at least 6 months.
· Strong programming fundamentals and problem‑solving skills — comfortable coding in at least one language (Python, Golang or Groovy) and explaining your approach.
· Practical familiarity with containers and microservices concepts, and hands‑on experience with Docker; basic working knowledge of Kubernetes or demonstrable learning projects.
· Basic CI/CD and version control skills — Git fluency plus exposure to CI tools (Jenkins, GitHub/GitLab Actions or similar).
· Cloud awareness — some experience or coursework/projects with GCP, AWS or Azure, and eagerness to build cloud apps.
· Growth mindset and collaboration: clear English communication, proactive attitude, openness to feedback, ability to work in a cross‑functional team and follow through on commitments.
Nice‑to‑have
Prior internships or project experience building microservices, experience with Golang/Groovy, automated testing, observability tools, or public code contributions/certifications.
Where you belong:
Join a mission-driven CI/CD and Development Infrastructure team in Xi’an that builds the tooling and processes powering SAP Datasphere’s data integration services. You’ll be part of a collaborative, learning-first group that values automation, reliability, and measurable impact on a large-scale SaaS data platform.
- What the team culture is like:
Learning-focused: continuous improvement, knowledge sharing, and mentorship are part of day-to-day work.
- Who will thrive here:
People who like hands‑on learning with cloud, CI/CD, and observability tools and who ask questions and iterate quickly.
- How the team collaborates
Cross-functional pairing with developer, QA, and dev Ops to deliver end-to-end solutions.
- Growth and development opportunities
Exposure to the internals of a SaaS data and analytics product (SAP Datasphere) and modern platform tooling.
Opportunities to own features end-to-end — from design to production — building skills in cloud infrastructure, CI/CD, and observability.
