What you`ll do

Lead a great engineering team responsible for SAP's internal development platform (Hyperspace). You'll drive technical excellence and operational reliability for thousands of developers across the enterprise, partnering closely with Product and Service leadership to shape the platform's evolution.

As Development Manager (f/m/d), you will lead and develop a team of software and platform engineers responsible for Hyperspace Platform and Portal. Working in close alignment with the Product Managers, Service Owners and Architects, you'll execute the technical roadmap, ensure platform reliability, and drive continuous improvements to the developer experience.

You'll manage team performance and career development, own quality and reliability metrics, champion agile practices and automation, and communicate effectively with product leadership and cross-functional partners. You'll balance innovation with operational excellence while scaling the platform to meet enterprise demands.

What you bring

  • 10+ years of professional software development experience

  • 4+ years in a development management or technical leadership role

  • Proven expertise in platforms, cloud infrastructure, and DevOps practices

  • Deep experience with Git-based workflows or developer platform tools

  • Track record of building and scaling high-performing engineering teams

  • Fluent English language skills required

You're results-driven with strong stakeholder management and communication skills. You bring a quality mindset and the resilience to navigate enterprise-scale challenges.
