Position Summary

In your role as a Hardware Design Project Manager you'll use your understanding of mechanical principles to solve issues in a manufacturing environment. You'll also implement dimensioning and tolerancing best practices as well as design-for-manufacturing principles.

Role and Responsibilities:

Here’s What You’ll Be Responsible For:

• Work as a liaison between the Innovation Team and customers in order to understand problem statements, project requirements, and limitations.

• 3D model hardware solutions and create AMSE Y14.5 compliant drawings for manufacture.

• Maintain communication and collaboration with the Fabrication Team

• Track first article testing with customers.

• Track and manage relevant documentation pertaining to cost, materials, manufacture methods, certificates of conformance, design packages, etc.

• Conduct FEA on designs for assured reliability and safety.

Skills and Qualifications

Here's what you'll need:

• Mechanical Engineering degree (or similar with strong design experience).

• Comprehensive understanding of GD&T (ASME Y14.5).

• 2+ years actively practicing design work is preferred.

• 3D modeling expertise required.

• Must be able to produce properly dimensioned drawings in accordance with ASME Y14.5.

• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes: CNC machining, turning, laser cutting, additive manufacturing, welding, powder coating.

• Portfolio of prior design work is beneficial.

The current base salary range for this role is between $70,480 - $179,090. Individual base pay rates will depend on factors including duties, work location, education, skills, qualifications and experience. Total compensation for this position will include a competitive benefits package and may include participation in company incentive compensation programs, which are based on factors to include organizational and individual performance.
