Role and Responsibilities:
**This is a 14 month contract position.**The Manager, Strategic Marketing Samsung Ads is responsible for contributing to marketing strategy and managing the execution of marketing programs for targeted core and growth advertising businesses across Samsung Ads Canada.
Reporting into the Head Of Sales, Samsung Ads Canada, this leader will leverage an integrated marketing approach to help drive measurable business results against key strategic initiatives in direct support of the Samsung Ads business.
We are looking for a highly skilled individual strong experience in B2B media marketing strategies and revenue generating marketing support. This professional should possess a keen understanding of the CTV state, preferable FAST, as well as the data, insights and performance components that go into creating points of difference. This individual will lead event strategy, growth marketing, industry event, marketing finance leadership, manage the marketing budget, vendor reviews and drive strategic initiatives. This role will also have one direct report, a marketing operations coordinator.
The right candidate for this role has experience across the marketing mix, and is skilled at managing multiple priorities, collaborators, and project management. This person must be extremely organized and results driven. Goals include: measurable business impact in terms of core marketing KPIs and pipeline/revenue supported.
The Samsung Ads marketing objectives are shaped around raising brand awareness, elevating positioning, educating and engaging media agencies and advertisers on Samsung Ads CTV advertising opportunities.
The candidate should thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment and effectively handle working across different teams and priorities. The candidate should have an entrepreneurial mind-set, taking ownership of projects and driving them forward. He/She will be expected to develop and maintain excellent working relationships with all appropriate levels within and outside the company.
This role will work hands-on across the marketing, sales and solutions teams as key stakeholders and collaborators – guiding the implementation of programs along-side B2B brand marketing, marketing comms, creative services, event marketing, and Samsung TV Plus. Key responsibilities and deliverables:
- Fulfill and contribute to marketing strategy for Samsung Ads Canada launches, activations, bespoke solutions and client engagement for all vertical, platform and enterprise advertising sales efforts.
- Define, deliver and manage sales communications strategies, narratives, plans and storytelling, ranging from go to market materials, collateral, and packaging for the Canadian market.
- Collaborate with the Canada Sales team to align marketing initiatives with their goals and objectives
- Collaborate with North American marketing colleagues in brand marketing, creative services, PR, events and marketing operations on planning and fulfillment for the above executions
- Collaborate with peers in, Product, Service Businesses, STVP and BD to develop solutions and materials that promote Samsung Ads marketplace offerings and demonstrate Samsung Ads benefits to the advertiser community against specific vertical and business target needs.
- Act as a partner to Sales and NASB vertical and product marketing leads to define and execute marketing efforts in a timely, accurate and efficient manner.
- Determine vertical activation recommendations against e.g. event creation, event sponsorships, socially-oriented networking/ client appreciation, PR, email campaigns, thought leadership, social media, paid media, etc. to ensure support for the key business objectives.
- Create unique client engagement experiences (e.g. new marketing-driven interactive tools, etc.) to create reasons to engage and relationship building opportunities with Samsung Ads.
- Take best practices and learnings and apply them to marketing solutions moving forward.
Skills and Qualifications
Skills Needed:

6-8 years working in an organization that supports the Advertising Sales function with F100 brands. Publisher or ad tech experience a plus.

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Advertising, Marketing or related field.

Marketer with experience in developing and executing innovative and proven marketing programs to drive specific KPIs e.g. account penetration or deepening client relationships.

Experience in vertical-specific, digital and or television marketing and working knowledge of vertical advertising trends.

Skilled and experienced in a sales marketing function for CTV/Ad Tech/Publisher across collateral and solutions development, go-to-market and events and client engagement.

Collateral and presentation development experience, working closely with a Creative Services team.

Effective problem solver that acts with diplomacy

Demonstrated agility in a fast-paced, changeable work environment with excellent time-management and communication skills

Ability to provide clearly present solutions and plans and demonstrate willingness to help sales achieve business goals

Interest in learning and understanding the product development to solution pipeline and translate that knowledge to applicable messaging for marketplace

Ability to build relationships, be seen as an advocate and be relied on for expertise
