About the Role
Raytheon (RTX) has an immediate opening for a temporary Generator Technician. This role will support the program's deployed systems at a customer's remote sites. This is a mix of power generators equipment used to power the Patriot Missile system. This position will be located in Doha, Qatar.
Responsibilities
- Perform maintenance inspections and repairs in accordance with applicable technical manuals and procedures
- Order parts as needed
- Complete records, maintain tools and equipment, and perform various clean-up and refurbishment activities
- Disassemble, clean, modify (as required), refurbish and reassemble power generator assemblies in accordance with applicable technical manuals (TMs) and refurbishment and upgrade procedures
- Perform depot level diagnostic, fault isolation and repair capability for generators
- Functionally test generators after making repairs to assure compliance with design specifications and standards
Required Qualifications
- Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience or an advanced degree in a related field
- A graduate of the US Army Power Generation Equipment Repairer (MOS 52D) course or a graduate of a technical school or manufacturer's course of instruction on diesel power generation equipment, or equivalent On-the-Job Training (OJT) or work experience in troubleshooting, fault isolation, disassembly, repair, assembly and checkout of power generation equipment
- Experience with electro-mechanical troubleshooting, fault isolation, and repair of 15, 30, or 150kW diesel powered power generation equipment
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs. and work in extreme heat
Preferred Qualifications
- Demonstrated knowledge of Patriot peculiar Technical Manuals and associated drawings, schematics, and publications
- Graduate of diesel-powered power generation equipment repair course
- Graduate of applicable Lechmotoren power generation equipment repair course
- Middle East customer experience
