About the Role

In Systems Engineering and Test Capabilities we integrate, verify, and validate our products. We put our systems together, exercise them in the lab or in the field, measure and analyze performance, and make sure our products work the first time and every time. To accomplish this, we develop plans and procedures, debug and evaluate system functions and interfaces, develop test environments, and work hand-in-hand with our customers.

The Mission Capability Verification Center within Systems Engineering and Test Capabilities is searching for a qualified Electrician to support program test operations. Test events may occur over weekends or holidays and may require extended hours with our team at White Sands Missile Range, NM. This position is an onsite role in White Sands, NM. You will collaborate with multi-disciplined teams while supporting multiple projects to achieve timely execution and completion of established goals, as well as support general facility maintenance. You will work in an engineering environment to support and facilitate testing of engineering hardware in accordance with customer and internal requirements and industry standards.

Responsibilities

• Support mission execution test events for our radars or missile flight tests, which could include travel to various sites on range
• Provide electrical support to technicians and engineers on a variety of tasks
• Provide support in a field-testing environment
• General facility maintenance
• Support to MCVC as needed outside of primary duties

Travel Requirements

• 50% travel is required to support assigned systems
• Travel is both within WSMR and to other US locations, with the possibility of global support

Required Qualifications

• Typically requires an AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience
• Experience with either machining, welding, fabrication, engineering or design techniques

Preferred Qualifications

• Ability to analyze and solve problems in real time
• Certifications/Qualifications/Licenses in the electrician field
• Ability to independently prioritize work in alignment with schedule and budget
• Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
• Experience in collaborating with a multi-disciplinary team to achieve common goals

Compensation and Benefits

Salary Range: $53,100 USD - $100,900 USD

The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Incentive Compensation:

Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company's performance.
