About the Role

Columbus Forge, a recognized leader in producing disks and airfoils for the aerospace propulsion market, is looking for dedicated individuals to support our organization. If you would like to work in a dynamic environment and possess the motivation to incorporate new ideas into practice, this may be the opportunity for you! We have an opportunity for a Manufacturing Engineering Tech to be based in Midland, GA. This is a 1st-shift opportunity.

Schedule: Mon-Fri: 7:00am-3:30pm

Primary Responsibilities

  • Provide engineering support for production operations including process support, troubleshooting, machine setup, and root cause analysis within the machining business unit
  • Collect and analyze data to identify adverse trends and improvement opportunities
  • Obtain and maintain knowledge of machining techniques and processes for manufacturing
  • Interpret requirements to develop and maintain processes to manufacture parts and tooling to engineering drawing requirements
  • Assist in electronic work instruction update and creation for manufacturing use
  • Interpret manufacturing inspection data to ensure product meets engineering requirements
  • Be able to work in a team environment
  • Be able to handle multi-tasking duties
  • Demonstrate commitment to the EH&S and continuous improvement programs by complying with all policies and procedures, completing all required training, and supporting all applicable committee activities
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract
  • 5 years technical experience
  • 3 years manufacturing experience
  • Experience troubleshooting manufacturing processes or machines

Preferred Qualifications

  • CNC Machine operating and setup experience
  • 2 year technical certificate or associates degree
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite (Excel, Powerpoint, Word)
  • SAP experience

Work Environment

This role is Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers, as they are essential to the development of our engines. As part of our commitment to maintaining a secure hiring process, candidates may be asked to attend select steps of the interview process in-person at one of our office locations, regardless of whether the role is designated as on-site, hybrid or remote.
