About the Directorate
The Test Equipment Engineering (TEE) Directorate is a multi-discipline organization responsible for developing test solutions for all Raytheon Missile Defense products. We are hands-on, designing with the latest technology and tools, and integrate state of the art test solutions with the most advanced engineering systems in the world. TEE products are located in engineering labs, in the field, and in production environments utilized for weapon system product verification, qualification, test data analysis, and production test solution development. TEE has job opportunities across all phases of the engineering lifecycle, including demonstrations, early engineering tests, design verification tests, production, and sustainment.
About the Role
Test Equipment Engineering (TEE) is looking for Mechanical Engineers to be responsible for designing, developing, documenting, and maintaining complex test environment systems for all proprietary projects within the Raytheon effector portfolio.
Responsibilities
- Research, plan, design and develop mechanical test systems in areas including vibration, thermal, hydraulic, radio frequency, and electro-optical for production testing environments
- Integrate and validate test systems against stringent accuracy and reliability requirements
- Evaluate production installations and recommend design modifications to eliminate malfunctions
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM)
- Minimum two (2) years' technical / engineering experience in mechanical design and/or production support
- Minimum two (2) years' experience with CAD solid modeling tools and analysis tools with an emphasis on ProE / CREO Parametric
- Experience with geometric dimensioning and tolerance (GD&T) analysis
- Experience creating mechanical drawing packages
- U.S. Citizen
- Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
- Ability to obtain Interim Secret U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date
Preferred Qualifications
- Design experience with mechanical and electronic packaging
- Experience with Configuration Management processes, application, and tools (e.g., Windchill / cPDM)
- Experience in mechanical sub-systems packaging, materials, thermal analysis, structural analysis, control systems, electrical hardware design, or large assembly development
- Experience with environmental stress screening of hardware (e.g., vibration, shock, thermal, etc.)
- Systems engineering experience
- Experience with basic management approaches such as work scheduling, prioritizing, coaching less experienced professionals, and process execution
Compensation
- Salary Range: $68,900 USD - $131,100 USD
The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.
Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company's performance.
