The Senior Business Development Manager role, which reports to the Senior Director of Business Development, is responsible for overseeing global and regional distribution, discovery, and go-to-market partners. This role is seeking an individual who is passionate about building new businesses and has a vision for how to innovate with platforms such as app stores, social/video platforms, and connected device manufacturers to create novel commercial opportunities for Roblox and its creators.
- Role is based in our San Mateo, CA office Tuesday
- Thursday (remote Monday and Friday)
You Will
-
Develop and optimize business relationships with strategic partners to expand Roblox’s global reach, grow revenue, and improve operating margin
-
Collaborate with multiple internal Roblox teams to support strategic programs and product releases across relevant partners
-
Come up with new creative products and services to implement with our partners to improve the Roblox experience for our users and creators
-
Drive financial analysis and strategic insights to support global and regional deal negotiations with key partners and internal product development roadmap planning
-
Partner with finance and analytics teams to manage account performance, development, and revenue growth
-
Manage all aspects of partner-related projects – build and submit project kick-off briefs (internal and external), maintain clear and detailed project plans that track deliverables and milestones, and serve as a leader throughout the entire process to ensure that project goals are accomplished.

Act as a central resource for partner insights, competitive intelligence, deal support, and expertise as required

Lead ongoing weekly, monthly, and quarterly meetings with our main partners to establish strategic plans, evaluate new business opportunities, and support our teams

Provide recurring business reporting for internal stakeholders
You Have
-
6+ years working in a business development or strategic partnerships role with direct experience within the games industry ecosystem
-
Experience negotiating, structuring, and working with attorneys to complete complex legal agreements
-
Successfully spearheaded deals that led to sustained positive impact for the business
-
Partnered successfully with multiple internal cross-functional teams (e.g. marketing, product management, engineering) to achieve your goals
-
Experience in developing mutually successful partnerships founded on iterative product and business innovation
-
Proven ability to manage the needs of multiple partners, stakeholders, and projects simultaneously
-
The ability to create processes to help solve complex technical problems
-
Drive thoughtful partnership execution while balancing short-term problem-solving with the long-term strategic roadmap

For roles that are based at our headquarters in San Mateo, CA: The starting base pay for this position is as shown below. The actual base pay is dependent upon a variety of job-related factors such as professional background, training, work experience, location, business needs and market demand. Therefore, in some circumstances, the actual salary could fall outside of this expected range. This pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. All full-time employees are also eligible for equity compensation and for benefits as described on this page.
Annual Salary Range**$202,340—$240,980 USD**
Roles that are based in an office are onsite Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, with optional presence on Monday and Friday (unless otherwise noted).
