Roblox is looking for a conceptually driven Copywriter to join our Plus Brand Creative team and help shape how the brand shows up across social platforms. In this role, you’ll develop platform-native ideas and messaging that celebrate the creativity of the Roblox community and the millions who play, create, and connect every day.
You’ll concept and write content designed specifically for platforms like Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube—crafting ideas that feel culturally relevant, community-driven, and unmistakably Roblox. From creator highlights to product launches and cultural moments, you’ll combine strong storytelling instincts with a deep understanding of how audiences engage in-feed.
This hands-on role requires sharp creative thinking, fluency in internet culture, and the ability to move quickly while maintaining a high bar for voice and clarity.
You Will:

Concept and write social-first ideas across Roblox’s social channels.

Craft copy for short-form video, captions, scripts, carousels, and community-driven content.

Partner closely with art directors, motion designers, and marketers to develop engaging social storytelling.

Translate launches, campaigns, and community moments into compelling social content.
-
Help evolve Roblox’s social voice while maintaining brand consistency.
-
Stay attuned to platform trends and creator culture to identify timely content opportunities.

Present creative concepts clearly to internal teams and stakeholders.

Lead copy development from concept through final delivery.
You Have:

4+ years of experience in copywriting, ideally focused on social or digital content.

A portfolio showing strong conceptual thinking and social-first writing.
-
Excellent instincts for concise, attention-grabbing copy.
-
Deep familiarity with platforms like Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube.
-
Experience collaborating with art directors and designers on creative concepts.
-
Ability to balance speed and craft in a fast-paced environment.
-
Strong communication and presentation skills.
-
Passion for Roblox, its creator community, and gaming culture.
For roles that are based at our headquarters in San Mateo, CA: The starting base pay for this position is as shown below. The actual base pay is dependent upon a variety of job-related factors such as professional background, training, work experience, location, business needs and market demand. Therefore, in some circumstances, the actual salary could fall outside of this expected range. This pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. All full-time employees are also eligible for equity compensation and for benefits as described on this page.
Annual Salary Range**$116,470—$146,720 USD**
Roles that are based in an office are onsite Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, with optional presence on Monday and Friday (unless otherwise noted).
