About the role
Rippling’s finance products are responsible for moving billions of dollars and executing payments to millions of workers and entities each week. These products are usually the first ones that customers use when they switch to Rippling, and so our product teams are constantly testing the frontiers in expanding our business upmarket, and supporting new countries.
Our mission is to support that expansion on a single, unified platform. It’s never been done before in the industry, and it’s an intellectually demanding endeavor. But the rewards are high - we are abstracting a tremendous amount of complexity from our users, and delivering a platform that they run their business on.
We are looking for an experienced PM to wrangle some of our hardest challenges. You’ll work closely with teams of engineers, designers, compliance and policy experts across the company, as well as GTM teams, to scale the business, and build features that benefit millions of employees.
What role do Product Leads play at Rippling? The product team owns Rippling’s product direction, defining what to build in order to solve customer problems in a way that allows them to succeed. We do this by intimately understanding the market, our customers, and the perspectives of our key stakeholders and synthesizing that into a product that is effective, efficient, and easy to use.
What you will do
- Distill complex user and technical requirements into simple interfaces and user experiences
- With engineers and designers, come up with platform-level capabilities that provide a scaled benefit and solve for multiple use cases at once
- See around corners, spotting unforeseen use cases and opportunities to future-proof the platform
- Dig into details and “go-and-see” how customers are using the product and what their challenges are, and prioritize what Rippling should build to help them
- Collaborate with other Rippling finance products teams - core payroll, payments, compliance, and other product teams to ship major enhancements to the platform
- Work cross-functionally across product, engineering, design, marketing and customer-facing functions to plan, spec, build, and ship new capabilities
What you will need
- 5+ years of experience in product management, or founding experience
- Self-starter with a bias towards action and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Thrives in understanding complexity and transforming it into simple user experiences
- Deep technical, analytical, and problem solving skills
- Exceptional interpersonal communication & organizational skills
- Strong ability to motivate and inspire people to do their best work
- Relentlessly focused on customers’ needs
- Strong alignment with Rippling's leadership principles, particularly 'Push the limits of possible', 'Challenge each other', and 'Go and see'
