We aspire to be the most player-focused game company.
Public Relations Strategist (Contract)
As Public Relations Strategist (Contract), you will be the hands-on executor of PR initiatives for one of Riot's titles in China. Working within the strategic direction set by the team, you'll be responsible for bringing those plans to life—delivering campaigns that are polished, on-time, and player-focused.
This is an execution-focused role for someone who loves getting things done. We're seeking a detail-oriented communicator who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams and external partners to ensure our messaging is consistent, high-quality, and resonant with Chinese players.
Responsibilities:
-
Drive day-to-day implementation of PR plans and initiatives for your assigned title(s), ensuring all workstreams are coordinated seamlessly.
-
Manage the drafting, review, and localization of key communication assets (press releases, social content, media kits) to ensure accuracy and brand alignment.
-
Oversee daily workflows with external agencies and partners—provide clear briefs, maintain quality standards, and ensure on-time delivery.
-
Act as the operational link between the PR team and internal stakeholders, gathering information and aligning on timelines.
-
Track media coverage and player sentiment; surface key insights to support strategy refinement and decision-making.
-
Handle logistics for media events, interviews, and offline activations to ensure smooth, professional execution.
-
Develop compelling content ideas and drive them from concept to successful delivery.
Required Qualifications:
-
3+ years in PR, communications, or marketing—experience in gaming, tech, or entertainment is a plus.
-
Strong track record of delivering projects on time and to spec. You're highly organized, detail-obsessed, and can manage multiple priorities without losing focus.
-
You believe in proactive, transparent communication. You keep stakeholders updated, flag issues early, and ensure alignment across teams.
-
Comfortable working as part of a larger team, taking direction from leadership while contributing ideas and solutions.
-
Native fluency in Chinese and working proficiency in English (written and verbal).
-
Eager to learn and improve. You seek feedback actively and adapt quickly to changing priorities.
-
Genuine interest in gaming or esports preferred—you understand and care about the communities we serve.
-
Willing and able to travel for tournaments and events as needed.
