**This is where your skills come in.**Ring Central is looking for a **Junior Data Engineer **to develop data platforms and pipelines to support the RingIQ / CM Buddy Solution.

Responsibilities

• Analyze source systems, define underlying data sources and transformation requirements, design suitable data models and document the design/specifications

• Build automated data pipelines and create data platforms and their components with limited support

• Build automated pipelines to validate, catalog, aggregate and transform ingested data

• Assemble large and complex datasets that meet functional business requirements

• Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements: automating manual processes, optimizing data delivery, re-designing infrastructure for greater scalability.

• Perform data validation checks across ETL / ELT pipelines

• Execute Source-to-target data reconciliation tests

• Validate data transformations

• Support data quality issues

• Write SQL queries to validate datasets and transformations

• Work closely with data engineers and analytics team

• Document test results and quality findings

• Ability to analyze requirements and identify test scenarios

Desired Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or similar relevant field with at least 1 year of experience. Advanced degree preferred.

• At least 1 year experience with any Relational Database Management System

• At least 1 year experience coding in Python

• ETL experience and building data models

• Strong SQL skills (joins, aggregation, filtering, subqueries)

• Strong analytical mindset and attention to details

• Good communication and documentation skills

Nice to have

• Experience with Snowflake, Hadoop, AWS, Databricks, etc

• Programmatic platform for scheduling and monitoring data pipelines: e.g. Airflow, Oozie
