About the Team: Relativity Space pioneered large-scale additive manufacturing with our Terran 1 rocket, the largest 3D-printed object to fly. Now a distinct business unit within Relativity, Horizon Manufacturing Technologies is advancing next-generation manufacturing for aerospace and beyond. The team operates at the frontier of manufacturing innovation, where creativity meets capability. About the Role:

• Demonstrate both hands on and theoretical understand of arc welding processes to produce high quality welds for Wire Directed Energy Deposition (Wire-DED, W-DED); Additive Manufacturing (AM)

• Independently develop and own weld parameters to advance our current processes

• Understand and operate mechanized or robotic welding equipment

• Collaborate with multiple teams from design, robotics, materials, NDE, and operations using verbal and written communications \

• Assist in optimizing and automating our processes by implementing new and innovative ways to join materials

About You:

• 4+ years of welding industry experience

• Technical and theoretical experience with GMAW

• Diagnose weld defects and suggest corrective actions for both repair and process optimization

• Capable of reading engineering drawings and fabricating components using metal working tools including 3-axis mills, lathes, manual GTAW, GMAW welding

• Ability to perform first pass diagnostics and identification of issues with robotic welding systems

• Excellent trouble shooting and problem solving skills, including suggesting appropriate modifications to welding equipment to improve the process

Nice to haves but not required:

• Robotic Welding experience

• Experience with Fronius Welding Power Supplies
