The Production Affordability Senior Manager will support strategic and cost-related initiatives that support the Production PMO.

Responsibilities

  • Perform in depth engine cost forecasting to support internal and external engagements and reviews
  • Develop strategic and cost-related initiatives that support the Production PMO, develop business cases that support the initiatives and present them to the customer as appropriate for funding potential
  • Sourcing cost focal that integrates closely with the Passport process internally and works cross functionally to lead root cause investigations of cost and schedule variances in support of affordability, and drive recovery plans
  • Identify process improvement opportunities and empower team to implement appropriate actions to achieve improvements and contribute to program achievements with the CORE operating system
  • Promote innovative and collaborative culture across the program and ensure robust pipeline of cost reduction ideas are generated for F135 Product Cost

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree required
  • 10+ years' experience in Affordability, Program Management, Finance, Operations or Supply Chain required
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract
  • Program management skills and proven ability to deliver exceptional customer service and business results required

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in building strong relationships with internal & external customers through a positive culture, commitment, credibility and transparency
  • CORE or other lean manufacturing/continuous improvement operating experience
  • Knowledge of EVMS or relevant cost & schedule management in the Aerospace and Defense industry a plus
  • Strong communication and presentation skills

Work Environment

This role is Onsite. Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers, as they are essential to the development of our engines. For onsite roles, commuting to and from the assigned site is the employee's personal responsibility.

Role Level Requirements

Requires expert or mastery level knowledge of work area, typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience. May have deep knowledge of project management. Advanced knowledge of related disciplines within work area and ability to identify links and potential impact on projects, programs or systems. Typically requires: A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years experience.

Compensation

The salary range for this role is $132,400 USD - $251,600 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
