Shift Hours: Friday, Saturday & Sunday 6 AM-6 PM
Training: 1st shift for approximately 3 months
Responsibilities
- The Cell Leader
- AWW will provide leadership and direction with emphasis on team building through the following:
- Provide leadership through employee meetings and effective communications
- Develop an efficient team responsible for engine assembly
- Establish standards and expectations for work effort and performance for subordinates
- Give constant feedback on performance to those standards
- Communicate with other department personnel and customers to ensure customer satisfaction
- Actively address issues and engage the workforce in achieving production goals
- Allocate and assign resources and coach employees to improve performance when needed
- Perform administrative functions as related to bargaining unit employees including maintaining training, quality, and attendance records
- Manage cell overtime and equitably distribute among employees
- Ensure all employees are fully trained in required aspects of Environmental Health & Safety
- Maintain World Class safety culture and respond to all Environmental Health & Safety requirements promptly
- Ensure department equipment is clean, properly maintained, with records and labels properly affixed
- Optimize equipment uptime while meeting all safety requirements
- Ensure full involvement in continuous improvement initiatives is consistently upheld
- Utilize continuous improvement tools to improve production, performance, and reduce scrap, rework, and repair
- Achieve continuous improvement levels as planned
- Ensure compliance to all Quality policies and procedures
- Control quality, productivity, and process flow to meet customer Material Requirement Planning (MRP) requirements
- Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction
Qualifications
Must Have
- Bachelor's degree and minimum 2 years experience in an engineering, manufacturing, operations, production, quality or related industrial environment
OR
- Associate's degree and minimum 4 years' experience in an engineering, manufacturing, operations, production, quality or related industrial environment
OR

In absence of a degree, 6 or more years' experience in an engineering, manufacturing, operations, production, quality or related industrial environment
-
Experience in MS Office applications, specifically MS Power
Point and Excel:
Preferred
- STEM degree
- Experience as a team lead
- Continuous improvement certificates/training such as 6 sigma practitioner/Professional certification
- Understanding of Environmental Health & Safety principles
Work Environment
This role is Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers, as they are essential to the development of our engines. Candidates will learn more about role type and current site status throughout the recruiting process.
For onsite and hybrid roles, commuting to and from the assigned site is the employee's personal responsibility.
As part of our commitment to maintaining a secure hiring process, candidates may be asked to attend select steps of the interview process in-person at one of our office locations, regardless of whether the role is designated as on-site, hybrid or remote.
Compensation and Benefits
Salary Range: $68,900 USD - $131,100 USD
The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.
Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company's performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
