General Summary:

The Security System Engineer will work as part of Qualcomm’s Hardware Security Team on leading technologies in Qualcomm’s diverse portfolio: Artificial Intelligence, Laptops, IoT, Mobile, Automotive, Wearables, and XR/VR. Product Security Certifications are critical in building customer trust, demonstrating security capabilities, meeting regulations, and ensuring high security assurance. You will be joining a cross functional team of expert hardware and security engineers contributing to the development and certification of Qualcomm Product Portfolio.

You will focus on developing scalable methodologies, software vectors, test benches and tools for supporting: Federal Information Processing Standards (FIPS), Security Evaluation Standard for IoT Platforms (SESIP), Common Criteria, Global Platform, and EU Cyber Resilience Act (CRA). The candidate will be expected to work across multiple disciplines from system architects, hardware designers, production test engineers, security analyst, and certification engineers.

Required Skills

• Experience in Low Level software development in C, C++, and Assembly

• Excellent knowledge of ARM / RISCV processors

• Debug of software & HW system using Lauterbach Trace32 / Practice Scripts

• Expeience developing embedded software

• Good communication skills

• Ability to work with cross functional teams

• Strong debug skills

Preferred Skills

• Expeience in post silicon validation

• Knowledge of Security Protocols (Hashing, symmetric and asymmetric cryptography)

• Develop / Maintain / Port software across a chipset families

• Experience with developing test methodologies to support:

• Validating Security Architecture & Engineering Designs meet Security Certification Requirements.

• Leveraging Lab Instrument Automation and experience in working lab environement

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 4+ years of Systems Engineering or related work experience. OR
  Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 3+ years of Systems Engineering or related work experience.
  OR
  PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Systems Engineering or related work experience.
