General Summary:

Job Overview:

Customer Engineering (CE) team helps customers with the design specific customizations in boot, power/performance and stability in various technology areas, and supports launch of products right from concept design to commercialization. The resource will work with cross-functional teams including Product Management, Marketing&Sales, Software development, System design, and other target teams to commercialize Qualcomm products with external customers. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are required. The resource should be motivated to learn, eager to debug and resolve issues, have a customer mindset.

Job responsibilities include the following:

• Support Auto Infotainment and ADAS customer programs, support requests as system HW engineer such as schematics/layout review, training, escalation mitigation.
• Provide end-to-end system engineering & debug support for customer issues, field returns and launch blocking issues.
• Support actively OEMs in current and next generation development platforms, design architecture discussions & pre-sale engagements.
• Provide support for auto-infotainment use-cases including infotainment trials on development & customer platforms.
• Build strong relationship with customers (OEM/ODM/Tier-1/2s) and deep involvement in the technical execution of the projects.

Minimum Qualifications:

5+ years of industry experience in the following:

• Auto Infotainment, Mobile and Panel (PC) products/markets
• Good wireless (such as BT/Wi Fi, GPS and 4G/5G)/embedded/HW technical skills for initial triage of customer project issues and management
• Knowledge of JEDEC Standards such as DDR, SD/EMMC/Flash, USB, PCIE, MIPI, Audio I2S/PCM/TDM and etc.
• Family with the EDA tools such as Cadence, PADS, Mentor and etc.
• Basic software skill to understand the code and change for verification.
• Good English communication capability

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experienced with Qualcomm Auto/Mobile platform
• Previous experience on auto field embedded development areas is strongly desired
• The resource is expected to have strong communication and interpersonal skills, high motivation,

the ability to learn quickly, and must be a self-starter

• Good SW skills such as JTAG debug and MCU compile capability.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field and 2+ years of Hardware Applications Engineering or Hardware Design experience or related work experience. OR
  Master's degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field and 1+ year of Hardware Applications Engineering or Hardware Design experience or related work experience.
  OR
  PhD in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
