General Summary:

Qualcomm is seeking an experienced sever and rack SW management engineer for AI accelerator products aimed at Data Centers. The candidate should have experience in taking SW rack management design and setup .

The candidate should be able to plan, implement and coordinate with ISV and ODM, internal SW tam, and develop Rack SW.

He should be able to evaluate, characterize, and develop the Rack SW solution for leading-AI products in the most advanced processes.

He should be comfortable Interfacing with various cross-functional teams (e.g. Software/System Engineering, Architecture Development, ODM,ISV ) to drive and incorporate the latest SW rack management solutions in the production program.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement software solutions for rack , monitoring, and setup.

• Familiar APIs and automation tools to interface with rack hardware, sensors, and management systems.

• Integrate rack management software with data center orchestration platforms

• Collaborate with hardware engineers, ODM, ISV and define software requirements for rack software designs.

• Troubleshoot issues related to rack software and SW integration.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field.

• 5+ years of experience in software development, preferably in infrastructure or hardware-related domains.

• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C++.

• Experience with Redfish APIs

• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in cross-functional teams include ODM and ISV

• Excellent communication and documentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with DCIM (Data Center Infrastructure Management) Foreman, Ansible tools

• Knowledge of SNMP, IPMI, Redfish, or other hardware management protocols.

• Understanding of networking and server hardware.

• Experience with OpenRMC

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience. OR
  Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 1+ year of Software Engineering or related work experience.
  OR
  PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.

• 2+ years of academic or work experience with Programming Language such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master's Degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science or related field.

• 4+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.

• 2+ years of experience with Database Management Software.

• 2+ years of experience with API.

• 1+ year of work experience with Git, Perforce, or Source Code Management System.

Level of Responsibility:

• Works under supervision.

• Decision-making may affect work beyond immediate work group.

• Requires verbal and written communication skills to convey information. May require basic negotiation, influence, tact, etc.

• Tasks do not have defined steps; planning, problem-solving, and prioritization must occur to complete the tasks effectively.
