Responsibilities

  • Research & Development: gather requirements, discuss solutions with cross-functional teams, define clear specifications, coordinate or conduct the implementation into software, perform comprehensive testing, and create documentation and demos
  • Customer Engagement: collaborate with key customers and partners to enable their success, understand their needs, drive adoption, address their challenges, and further enhance our products and solutions

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • Strong expertise in photonic IC design and simulation
  • Master's or PhD degree in electrical engineering, physics, or similar fields
  • 3+ years in designing photonic ICs, through full design cycles (simulation, layout, tape-out, and measurement)
  • Experience in photonic circuit simulation, and ideally electronic-photonic co-simulation
  • Experience in photonic compact modeling, preferably using Verilog-A
  • Experience in photonic device simulation and parameter extraction
  • Understanding of numerical simulation methods
  • Familiarity with electronic/photonic design automation (tools and workflows)
  • Programming in C++, Python, SKILL, etc.
  • Experience working with foundries, using or developing PDKs / custom libraries is a strong plus
  • Good communications skills and ability to collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams
