As the Sales and Business Development Director for Semiconductor and Photonics Components at Nokia, you will spearhead our growth initiatives targeting hyperscalers and optical module manufacturers. Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams—including engineering, marketing, and product management—you will shape and execute a comprehensive sales strategy that drives revenue and builds enduring customer relationships. Your efforts will directly influence our market position in optical networking and high-performance computing sectors. You have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Electrical Engineering, Optical Engineering, or related field
- 7-10 years of sales experience in the semiconductor, photonics, or optical communications industry
- Deep understanding of photonics components and optical communication technologies
- Proven leadership in managing strategic accounts and driving revenue growth
It would be nice if you also had:
- MBA or advanced degree
- Industry contacts with key players in photonics, data center, and telecom sectors
- Familiarity with optical module industry standards (e.g., OIF, IEEE, ITU)
- Experience with CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, Hub Spot) and sales analytics software
Develop and execute a strategic sales plan for silicon and photonics components targeting hyperscalers and optical module manufacturers.
- Build and nurture long-term relationships with key decision-makers in the optical networking and high-performance computing industries.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities while managing the sales pipeline from lead generation to deal closure.
- Drive revenue growth through direct sales and strategic partnerships, setting and meeting ambitious sales targets.
- Collaborate with engineering and applications teams to tailor solutions that meet customer needs effectively.
- Lead contract negotiations, ensuring favorable terms while closing complex, high-value deals.
- Provide market insights and sales forecasts to senior leadership, leveraging CRM systems for reporting and analytics.
- Mentor and guide the sales team, fostering a performance-driven culture while managing large strategic accounts.
