Solution Architect
The following Job Profile is applicable to a System Integration Solution Architect with experience of delivery of integrated projects, working in transportation and oil and gas sectors, and more specifically in Metro and Railways.
Performs concept, detailed design, and integration of all parts of the solution.
Plans the design, installation and delivery (including design and testing services and management) of integrated communications systems for metros and mainline railways, creates and tailors optimized integrated communications solutions that comply with all reliability, safety, security, EMC and environmental standards and operational practices in the railway and metro domains.
Knowledge & Experience You have:
- Management experience / Achieved advanced skills and knowledge within a specific professional discipline involving the integration of theory and principles with organizational practices and precedents.
- Typically requires 4-6 years relevant experience and/or a graduate equivalent (or higher) degree.
- Ability to communicate with functional leadership regarding team & technical matters.
- Must have a cross-cultural knowledge and global mindset
- Demonstrates initiative & adaptability to changing business environments.
- Accountability- Accountable for quality, accuracy and efficiency of own and/or team achievements
- Autonomy, requiring minimal supervision.
- Innovation and Problem solving
In this role you will:
- Designs and Validates the Solution within customer's environment (including end-user services and management) to ensure that all customer requirements, as defined in the contract, are covered.
- Verifies and validates inter-operation of products / subsystems from multiple vendors through the execution of test plans,
- Ensures that the solution performs as designed by validation /testing the functionality and by giving the basis for a final acceptance by the customer.
- Manages technical relationships with 3rd party suppliers and Nokia internal suppliers to integrate the solution with existing networks, platforms, support and business systems.
- Designs and performs the technical migration of the Solution.
- Prepares all the configurations required by the migration process, executes the procedures of migration, adjusts the new system into the old technical environment, manages the roll back when it is required.
- Creates and maintains customer relationship during on-site integration.
- Creates and manages the design and delivery documentation and process for the system or sub-systems.
- Designs in compliance to CENELEC standards applicable for railway systems, RAMS, EMC/EMI, environmental, safety and security.
- Manages the requirements and interface of the system or sub-systems.
- Produces the V&V and T&C procedures.
- Performs the integration of sub-systems at wayside and on-board, including stations, Control Centers and depots.
- Has hands-on or field experience in:Installation,
- Configuration,
- Factory Acceptance testing,
- Field Equipment and Subsystem testing,
- Commissioning,
- Operation and Maintenance,
- Third-party system integration,
- Troubleshooting,
- As-builts.
