The NI APAC Cloud & Webscale Sales organization is seeking an experienced Sales Director to lead connectivity projects in the region. This position offers an unique opportunity to drive innovation and growth in the exciting AI-driven business segments.
As the Cloud & Webscale Sales Director, you are responsible for driving Nokia's optical solutions for the targeted Cloud and Webscale segment. You play a crucial influential role in expanding our Australia and New Zealand market share by working closely with the PLM, presales and channel sales teams to hunt for new opportunities. You will also play a visible role contributing to the regional busines and help develop and design medium-to-long sales strategy as a part of Nokia’s global initiatives to expand the Cloud, neo Cloud, hyperscaler-driven business.

Must Have:
- 10+ years of experience in the Networking industry, with a strong track record in growing assigned accounts/regions over multi-year period
- Experience in selling Data Center Interconnect (DCI) solutions, including terrestrial and subsea/SLTE applications, inter and intra-DC applications
- Proven hunting experience in breaking into new webscale/hyperscale/cloud provider accounts
- Previous sales and/or sales engineering experiences working for optical vendors, hyperscalers, and/or major cloud providers with good understanding of procurement process

Possess executive and working connections with regional hyperscalers, cloud providers, DC operators, cable companies would definitely be an asset

Excellent communication, willingness to share knowledge and relationship-building skills

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Commerce or related field.

Be the optical-focused sales leader in growing Nokia's business in the Cloud and Webscale segments

Educate and work closely with key decision makers and influencers from the assigned strategic accounts

Experienced in direct and indirect sales, and demonstrated consultation selling skills, business development skills, with track record in securing multi-million optical deals in one of Nokia’s competitor(s), Nokia’s partner(s) or Nokia’s customer(s)

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop differentiated value propositioning against our competitors (e.g. Cisco, Ciena, etc.)

Own and manage sales opportunities from initial qualification to business case approval to closing, and experience in using CRM/SFDC tools

Understand market and technology trends with growth mindset in AI-driven connectivity eco-system

Ability to travel regionally up to 40% of the time, mostly within Australia and New Zealand
