As a Business Development Manager, you will be part of the dynamic NI IPN Segment Mission Critical department.
Your primary focus will be on identifying and developing business opportunities for Nokia's IP/MPLS solutions, specifically targeting customers in the Mission Critical Segment, including Research and Education Networks/Higher Education Networks globally.
You will work closely with Sales and cross-functional teams, leveraging your industry knowledge and fresh ideas to influence and shape our business strategies.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field, with a preference for a Master's degree.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in business development, sales, or a related field, preferably in the telecom or networking industry.
- Proven track record of successfully identifying and closing business opportunities, with a focus on the Education Networks within the Mission Critical Segment.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery.
- Proficiency in using CRM systems and other sales/business development tools.
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required by business needs.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative mindset, with the ability to build and maintain relationships.
- Flexibility and adaptability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
- Identify and qualify new business opportunities within the Mission Critical Segment, including Research and Education Networks.
- Develop and execute business development plans to penetrate new markets and expand existing customer relationships.
- Collaborate with Sales and cross-functional teams to align strategies and ensure a cohesive approach to business development.
- Conduct market research and analysis to stay updated on industry trends and competitor activities.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and influencers in the target market.
- Prepare and deliver compelling presentations and proposals to showcase the value of Nokia's IP/MPLS solutions.
- Negotiate and close deals, ensuring a win-win outcome for both Nokia and our customers.
- Provide regular updates and reports on business development activities, highlighting achievements and areas for improvement.
- Stay informed about Nokia's product portfolio and communicate the benefits to potential customers.
- Act as a subject matter expert, providing insights and recommendations to enhance our solutions and meet customer needs.
