Job Summary

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a NPI Quality Engineer located in Guadalajara,North Campus.

Reporting to the Design Quality Engineer the NPI Quality Engineer is responsible for requiring close collaboration with customers and cross-functional teams including Engineering, Manufacturing, and Program Management, ensuring quality requirements are clearly defined, implemented, validated, and sustained throughout the product launch lifecycle.

What a typical day looks like:

  • Develops and initiates quality standards, methods, and controls for inspection, testing, and evaluation during NPI phases.
  • Manages the introduction of new products, ensuring customer quality requirements are met from early development through mass production release.
  • Designs sampling procedures and develops forms, instructions, and methodologies for recording, evaluating, and reporting quality and reliability data.
  • Develops and implements methods and procedures for the disposition of nonconforming material and evaluates cost of quality.
  • Directs and coordinates personnel involved in product and process measurement, testing, and inspection during pilot builds, pre-production runs, and launches.
  • Compiles training materials and conducts training sessions related to quality control and NPI activities.
  • Supports Product Engineers and Quality Program Managers in customer-facing interactions, addressing quality issues during builds and launches.
  • Ensures availability, accuracy, and integrity of quality data; consolidates and reports NPI quality results.
  • Initiates and drives corrective actions using structured methodologies (8D, APQP, PPAP/PIPAC) and ensures timely and effective closure.
  • Assists in the development and implementation of internal and external audits related to new products and processes.
  • Develops, applies, revises, and maintains quality standards for manufacturing processes, sub-assemblies, and finished products.
  • Designs and implements inspection and test methods to evaluate the precision and accuracy of products and production equipment.
  • Analyzes quality reports, customer feedback, and returns; recommends and implements corrective and preventive actions.
  • Establishes programs to evaluate capability, precision, and accuracy of production, testing, and measurement equipment.
  • Approves product, process, and equipment qualifications prior to release to production.
  • Acts as a quality liaison with customers and, when required, regulatory bodies during the NPI process.
  • Actively participates in launch reviews, including Launch Reviews, Redlines, and Launch Boxes.

The experience we’re looking to add to our team:

  • BA/BS or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience as a NPI Quality Engineer.
  • Fluent English (spoken and written).
  • Preferred background in electronics manufacturing and/or assembly environments.
  • Strong knowledge of structured problem-solving methodologies: 8D, APQP, PIPAC.
  • Proven experience in direct customer interaction.
  • Availability to support production builds and customer visits, with scheduling flexibility.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Experience in personnel management.
