Job Summary

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a Quality Engineer located in Guadalajara,North Campus.

Reporting to the **Design Quality Engineer,**the Quality Engineer is responsible for maintaining quality engineering programs, standards and improvements within the organization.

What a typical day looks like:

  • Develops, initiates, and maintains standards and methods for inspection, testing, and evaluation of materials, processes, and products.
  • Designs and implements sampling procedures; develops forms, instructions, and methodologies for recording, evaluating, and reporting quality and reliability data.
  • Develops and implements methods and procedures for disposition of nonconforming material and assesses cost of quality.
  • Leads and directs personnel engaged in measuring, testing, and evaluating product and process quality; tabulates and analyzes quality and reliability data.
  • Supports Product Engineers and Quality Program Managers during customer interfaces as required, addressing quality-related concerns.
  • Initiates corrective action requests (CARs) as needed and tracks actions through effective closure.
  • Assists in the planning, execution, and follow-up of internal and external quality audits.
  • Develops, applies, revises, and maintains quality standards for converting materials into sub-assemblies and finished products.
  • Designs and implements inspection, testing, and validation methods to ensure product precision, accuracy, and equipment capability.
  • Analyzes customer complaints, internal quality reports, and returned products; recommends and drives corrective and preventive actions.
  • Leads and approves product, process, equipment, and line qualifications.
  • Acts as liaison with customers and regulatory bodies as required.
  • Supports manufacturing expansion projects, ensuring line qualification, customer requirements fulfillment, and identification/control of critical-to-quality characteristics.
  • Leads or supports project management activities related to quality initiatives and expansion efforts.

The experience we’re looking to add to our team:

  • BA/BS or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience as a Quality Engineer or a similar position.
  • Fluent English (spoken and written).
  • Experience in manufacturing environments, preferably electronics manufacturing and mechanical assemblies.
  • Strong knowledge of line qualification, process validation, and customer quality requirements.
  • Experience with internal and external audits. (ISO 9001)
  • Preferred certifications: Six Sigma Green Belt (or higher) is a plus.
  • Knowledge of mechanical assemblies and metal-mechanical processes.
  • Strong customer-facing skills and cross-functional collaboration.
  • People management experience.
  • Availability of travel (5% per year)
