Job Summary

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a Design Quality Engineer located in Guadalajara, North Campus.

Reporting to the Quality Director, the Design Quality Engineer role performs root cause analysis to identify problems, improve production line performance, and mitigate manufacturing risks. Serve as the primary point of contact with the customer on a daily basis.

What a typical day looks like:

• Collects, researches, evaluates and presents information concerning factors such as business situations, production capabilities, manufacturing problems, and design and development of new products for consideration by other members of management team.

• Suggests and debates alternative methods and procedures in solving problems and meeting changing market opportunities.

• Works with other management personnel in formulating and establishing company policies, operating procedures and goals.

• Develops initial and subsequent modifications of Design Quality Assurance program to delineate areas of control, personnel requirements and operational procedures within program.

• Conducts and participates in management meetings with design department heads to establish, delineate and review program organizational policies, to coordinate functions and operations between departments, and to establish controls and procedures for attaining goals.

• Interface with customers on technical/quality issues and improvement initiatives.

• In charge of managing customer audits, internal audits, and regulatory/compliance agency audits.

• Reviews technical problems and procedures of departments and recommends solutions to problems or changes in procedures.

• Particpates and mananges the Design Site Corrective Action process.

• Visits and confers with representatives of material and component vendors to obtain information related to supply quality.

The experience we’re looking to add to our team:

• Bachelor's degree in related field completed.
• 5+ years of experience in similar role with consistent knowledge in Quality processes.
• Technical knowledge on; Thermal Plating, Heat Sink, cold plate, bonding in Thermal Management would be a strong advantage.
• Experience with Mechanical Assembly Processes and SMT Quality systems.
• English fluent
• Experience performing 8D’s
• Six sigma (Green belt, Black belt)
