We are looking for an experienced credit risk professional at the Vice President level to join our Asia Private Wealth Management (PWM) credit risk management team in Mumbai. In this role, you will partner with colleagues in PWM Sales and Business Unit Risk Management to help manage the firm's growing private wealth platform.
In the Firm Risk Management division, we advise businesses across the Firm on risk mitigation strategies, develop tools to analyse and monitor risks and lead key regulatory initiatives.

What you’ll do in the role:

Provide counterparty coverage for new credit limit request, docs negotiation, annual limit review and margin call handling;

Conduct due-diligence of high-net-worth individuals and related entities across a variety of transactions in PWM;
-
Perform analysis of client's portfolio under management, identify weakness in the account and design risk mitigants;
-
Oversee business requests related to generic collateral LTV for the entire Asia PWM portfolio.

Evaluate the effectiveness and appropriateness of current LTV assignment frameworks, and recommend new frameworks for additional collateral types
-
Conduct regular and periodic reviews of the Asia PWM Credit Risk portfolio; design and supervise the ongoing creation of management reports and risk dashboards; and perform deep dives into emerging risk themes to identify areas that require early intervention;

Develop, maintain and ensure compliance with all credit policies and procedures in line with current regulation;

Collaborate other Credit Officers in the Hong Kong, Singapore and Mumbai offices;
-
Provide guidance/mentoring for junior members of the team;

Liaise with Credit Officers on the institution client side of the bank and in the US Wealth Management business, establish best practices as applicable to the region.
What you’ll bring to the role:
-
Experience in a Private Wealth or Prime Brokerage capacity
-
At least 8 years of credit analysis experience in the financial services industry
-
Knowledge of securities based lending and related margin lending policies;
-
Extensive product knowledge of equities and FICC cash product and derivatives, as well as mutual funds, hedge funds, and semi-liquid funds;
-
Able to work independently and liaise effectively with senior stakeholders;
-
Strong analytical skills, sense of ownership and self-motivator;
-
Excellent communication skills for written, graphical and verbal presentation.
