Job Description Summary

This role is responsible for implementing and monitoring health, safety, and environmental (HSSE) practices across construction and fit-out projects to ensure compliance with statutory regulations and company standards. The role involves hazard identification, risk assessment, contractor management, and promoting a strong safety culture across multiple sites.

About the Role:

  • Implement and monitor HSSE practices at base build and interior fit-out sites in compliance with BOCW Act and applicable state regulations.
  • Identify hazards, conduct risk assessments, and implement control measures to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Develop and enforce safety management plans, safe systems of work, and ensure compliance through regular site monitoring.
  • Ensure contractors adhere to safety requirements, including preparation and execution of safe work method statements.
  • Conduct safety audits, inspections, and prepare timely reports with actionable insights.
  • Train and guide contractors and vendors on safety standards, compliance requirements, and best practices.
  • Facilitate effective communication and consultation with site teams to promote a strong safety culture.
  • Review emergency preparedness plans and ensure readiness for timely response across sites.
  • Manage safety operations across multiple sites as a shared resource, ensuring consistency and compliance.

About You:

  • Minimum 6+ years of experience in construction safety management, preferably in interior fit-out projects.
  • Diploma in Industrial Safety Management or equivalent technical qualification from a recognized institute.
  • Certifications such as NEBOSH/IOSH are mandatory.
  • Strong knowledge of statutory safety regulations (BOCW Act, state rules) and site safety practices.
  • Basic computer proficiency and experience in safety documentation and reporting.
