About monday.com

At monday.com, we help teams get more work done. We are the best AI work platform that empowers teams to automate, build, and scale their impact end-to-end with tools that actually execute the work for you. With over $1B in ARR, 250,000+ customers, and a global team, we’re serious about building a product people love to use and giving our employees the same ownership and flexibility to shape the way the world works.

The Enterprise Core Group is the engine driving monday.com’s most critical strategic shift: the move "Up Market."

As we evolve to serve the world’s largest and most complex organizations, our platform must evolve with us.

You will lead the team responsible for the very backbone of this transition - the Users & Governance (U&G) team.

This team does not just build features; they architect the identity, security, and governance logic that powers the entire monday.com ecosystem. We are responsible for making the platform robust, secure, and flexible enough to handle massive scale and the rigorous requirements of enterprise giants.

The Opportunity We are looking for an experienced Engineering Team Lead

to guide a squad of five high-performing, senior-level engineers. This role sits in a rare and exciting technical sweet spot: the intersection ofdeep Infrastructure and user-facing Product. Since U&G touches every part of the platform, you will operate in a high-visibility environment, partnering with virtually every product and infrastructure team in the company. You won’t just be executing a roadmap; you will be defining and growing the foundation of our enterprise offering.

Your responsibility

  • Manage, mentor, and empower a team of experienced engineers. Since the team is composed of senior talent, your focus will be on unblocking complex challenges, fostering technical growth, and steering architectural decisions rather than micromanagement

  • Lead the design and implementation of systems that manage user identity and governance. You will ensure our platform is "Enterprise Ready" - secure, compliant, and capable of handling massive scale without compromising performance

  • Operate as the connecting link between Infrastructure and Product. You will translate complex enterprise requirements into robust technical solutions that serve the entire R&D organization

  • Work closely with Product Managers and Designers to define the long-term vision for Users & Governance. You will shape a roadmap that balances immediate business needs with long-term technical health

  • Because your domain is foundational, you will collaborate with diverse teams across a wide tech stack. Your ability to communicate technical concepts to different stakeholders will be just as important as your coding expertise

  • 3+ years of proven experience leading engineering teams, with a strong record of delivering production-grade products and growing individuals.

  • You have a proven track record of leading engineering teams, or being a tech lead of a team, preferably within a high-growth or complex SaaS environment

  • You have a strong background in backend engineering and architecture, but you also possess a "product mindset." You understand how infrastructure decisions impact the end-user experience

  • You have experience (or a strong interest) in building systems that serve large-scale enterprise customers. You understand the nuances of security, permissions, and governance

  • You thrive in high-visibility roles where cross-team partnership is essential. You can align technical goals with business strategy and influence stakeholders across the organization
