We are seeking a strategic and customer-obsessed Senior Product Marketing Manager to lead Business Decision Maker (BDM) audience marketing for Finance Leadership (Chief Financial Officer) across Retail, Consumer Goods, Financial Services, Manufacturing, Mobility, and Energy. This cross-segment role sits within Global Industry Marketing and plays a pivotal part in positioning Microsoft as the trusted partner for frontier firms—those pushing the boundaries of innovation and operational excellence. Agentic AI is already transforming industries, and we want to help key functions understand the specific relevance of agents in the context of their daily work. Finance leaders are a priority audience, with concerns that cross industry boundaries. In this role, you will have a unique opportunity to explore how we can reach this audience with the right messages to accelerate their AI journey.
You’ll have the opportunity to be part of a high-impact team that looks across industries to find commonalities and contrast. With projects that range across audience insights and industry impact, your work will help define how Microsoft brings the transformative power of agentic AI to finance decision makers. From crafting compelling narratives to orchestrating go-to-market strategies, you’ll drive engagement with our most strategic customers and accelerate their journey toward intelligent finance.
Responsibilities:
Audience Strategy & Insights: Builds understanding of operations BDM personas (e.g., Chief Finance Officer, VP of Finance, Corporate Controller) across industries. Leverage behavioral signals, industry trends, and role-based insights to shape strategy.
Messaging & Positioning: Develop compelling narratives that communicate Microsoft’s differentiated value in enabling resilient, intelligent, and sustainable operations. Tailor messaging to industry-specific challenges and transformation levers.
Go-to-Market Execution: Partner with integrated marketing, engineering, and field teams to launch campaigns and content that drive awareness, engagement, and pipeline growth across segments. Work across industry-specific marketing initiatives to identify where and how to reach the finance Business Decision Maker (BDM) audience.
Content Development: Lead the creation of persona-based assets including solution plays, customer stories, executive presentations, and thought leadership tailored to operations leaders in each vertical.
Field & Partner Enablement: Equip field sellers and partners with messaging frameworks, pitch decks, and customer engagement tools that reflect the priorities of finance leaders across industries.
Performance Measurement: Track engagement across segment-specific lists. Optimize based on Highly Engaged (HE) seller recommendations and campaign performance.

Qualifications:
Required/minimum qualifications
- Master's Degree in in Marketing, Computer Science, Business or related field AND 3+ years experience in Business OR Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Business or related field AND 5+ years experience in business OR equivalent experience.
Additional or preferred qualifications
- Master's Degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Business or related field AND 7+ years experience in business OR Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Business or related field AND 10+ years experience in business OR equivalent experience.
- Experience with marketing cloud platforms and/or cloud-based applications
- Data-driven mindset with experience using behavioral insights to inform strategy
Product Marketing IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $106,400 - $203,600 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $137,600 - $222,600 per year.
