Job Description

As the Innovation Senior Manager of Smart Manufacturing Artificial Intelligence (SMAI) Planning & Operation, you will drive the vision for the Artificial Intelligence transformation of Planning and Operation in Micron. You will drive operation excellence in maximizing output through AI in scheduling optimization and Intelligence in next generation ROC (Remote Operation Centre). You will be instrumental in integrating cross-functional efforts and collaborating closely with Fab, especially for DRAM sites (OMTF15), as well as diverse teams from Fab, Assembly & Test, Supply Chain, Sales, and Planning. Your leadership will be key in building a State-of-the-Art End-to-End Planning Platform, complete with a clear strategic vision and roadmap, to ensure Micron's continued leadership in this competitive landscape.

Primary Responsibility

  • Drive Maxout and operational excellence by optimizing our planning and scheduling systems through the development and deployment of AI-powered platforms.
  • Lead the strategic development and execution of a comprehensive roadmap for the next-generation ROC (Remote Operation Centre) utilizing AI and Machine Learning.
  • Develop the strategy, integrate various projects, and drive the execution of an End-to-End Planning Digital Twin. This scope will encompass the entire closed-loop planning cycle, from wafer start, product priority for fab, product configuration at wafer probe, shipment profile, wafer bank, die bank, finish good, demand signals, sales signals & forecasts, to long-term strategic planning, capex and opex optimization.
  • Collaborate closely with DRAM sites (OMTF15) to ensure seamless integration and adoption of planning innovations.
  • Develop Digital Twin solutions for critical processes, including partnering with the Technology Development Group.
  • Identify and implement opportunities to improve planning processes, focusing on cost reduction, cycle time optimization, and maximization of yield, quality, productivity, revenue, and profitability.
  • Provide visionary leadership for Smart Manufacturing innovation, setting the direction and integrating diverse initiatives.

Requirement

  • Strong leadership skill with excellent execution

  • Strong passion in planning, AI and Smart Manufacturing

  • Excellent knowledge of AI, statistic, modelling and simulation, queuing theory, and TOC concept

  • Excellent understanding of data engineering, Industrial Engineering, and IT infrastructure

  • PhD or MS degree in related field of planning, AI, Statistic, modelling and simulation, Industrial Engineering is preferred

  • Proven track record in cross-functional project integration and strategic roadmap development.

  • Strong project management and organizational change skills and experience

  • Proven track record to perform in an environment characterized by volatility, uncertainty, complexity, and ambiguity

  • Good knowledge in planning and strong analytical skills

  • Results-oriented, with a growth mindset and strong dedication to identify and implement improvement opportunities

  • Proven ability to drive multiple complex projects to completion

  • 3 or more years of leadership experience

  • Able and willing to travel overseas (minimum 20% or higher)
