As a Financial Analyst at Micron, you will support our Finance team by collecting, analyzing, and reporting financial data. You will collaborate with various teams and senior members to ensure financial processes are accurate and timely. These processes include period-end close activities, financial reporting, and data analysis. This role requires a collaborative demeanor, eagerness to learn and adapt, and willingness to using new tools and technologies, including solutions powered by AI, to improve processes.

Responsibilities:

Support Financial Operations & Reporting

• Assist in period-end close processes and ensure accuracy and timeliness of financial data
• Navigate and use information system applications (e.g., SAP, iECS, and other internal tools) to collect, validate, and consolidate financial data
• Load, reconcile, and archive data across financial systems
• Support ad hoc reporting and analysis requests from internal partners

Analyze & Communicate Financial Information

• Validate data outputs and investigate discrepancies as needed
• Build and maintain reports that summarize variances and trends
• Document findings and communicate insights to team members and management
• Support the preparation of presentations and summaries for partners

Contribute to Operational Improvement, AI Adoption & Team Collaboration

• Actively find opportunities for operational improvements, including the exploration and adoption of AI tools, automation, and emerging technologies to enhance financial workflows
• Leverage AI-assisted solutions (e.g., generative AI, data analytics tools) to streamline repetitive tasks, improve data accuracy, and accelerate reporting cycles
• Stay current with AI and technology trends relevant to Finance and proactively propose use cases for the team
• Collaborate with senior analysts and cross-functional partners to gain insight and align on guidelines
• Support the design and maintenance of forecast models and system solutions under senior guidance
• Maintain awareness of internal policies and regulatory requirements (e.g., SOX, GAAP)

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in the areas of finance, accounting, or a related field
• 0–3 years of professional experience in Finance, Accounting, or similar fields
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
• Ability to work optimally in a fast-paced environment and handle workload flexibly

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with SAP and other financial data sources
• Strong business insight and problem-solving skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
• Curiosity and willingness towards bringing to bear new technologies (e.g., AI tools) to improve work efficiency
• A collaborative phenomenal teammate eager to learn from expert colleagues
