As **Equipment Technologist,**you're responsible for monitoring, sustaining, and continuously improving equipment performance within the assigned manufacturing area. This role works closely with Production and Engineering teams to ensure equipment reliability, high tool uptime, and stable process performance. The Equipment Technologist is expected to maintain open communication, resolve equipment‑related issues efficiently, and escalate appropriately to drive effective and sustainable solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Safety & Compliance:

  • Adhere strictly to all company safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements at all times.
  • Promote a strong safety culture during maintenance, troubleshooting, and equipment-related activities.

Equipment Maintenance & Performance:

  • Monitor tool performance and equipment health on a daily basis.
  • Schedule and perform preventive and corrective maintenance on assigned tool sets.
  • Participate in Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) activities to improve equipment performance, reliability, and utilization.
  • Troubleshoot and repair equipment issues using mechanical, electrical, electronic, and PC/software skills.

Equipment Support & Improvement:

  • Support equipment installation, qualification, and testing activities.
  • Assist in creating, updating, and modifying equipment procedures, subject to approval by the Equipment Section Manager or Equipment Owner.
  • Drive tool uptime improvement through systematic problem-solving, root cause analysis, and quality workmanship.
  • Participate in Continuous Improvement Program (CIP) projects and focus teams to enhance workflow efficiency, tool performance, and cost of ownership.

Documentation & Reporting:

  • Accurately document all maintenance activities using established check sheets and tracking systems.
  • Perform routine reviews of maintenance records, check sheets, and procedures to ensure accuracy and effectiveness.

Process Control & Communication:

  • Monitor, analyze, and respond to Statistical Process Control (SPC) data on a daily basis.
  • Take timely action on SPC out-of-control conditions and equipment-related process deviations.
  • Keep Lead Technicians and/or Lead Engineers informed of equipment and area-related issues.

Training & Quality Systems:

  • Take ownership of individual training and certification requirements to ensure no overdue learning events.
  • Complete all assigned training and learning modules within stipulated timelines.
  • For assigned business processes and/or QMS responsibilities:Ensure processes are effective and compliant with requirements
  • Ensure processes deliver intended outputs
  • Report performance metrics and improvement opportunities to management
  • Promote strong internal and external customer focus
  • Maintain QMS integrity during process changes
  • Ensure customer requirements are consistently met

Requirements

  • Nitec/Higher Nitec/Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, or related field), or equivalent relevant working experience
  • Self-motivated, results-oriented, and eager to learn and grow in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
  • Comfortable working 12-hour rotating shifts, including night shifts
