A Day in the Life

Our Global Quality Strategy is always about putting patient safety first, upholding product quality, and maintaining the highest ethical standards in our business relationships and programs.

The Associate Quality and Logistics Analyst play a pivotal role in delivering high quality products across all of Medtronic’s Operating Units (OUs) & portfolios, supporting both internal teams and external customers throughout ANZ to maintain patient’s safety. This role is responsible for supporting each OU’s initiatives to provide available, safe, effective, and confident use of our product technologies. This role is based at HQ and requires onsite attendance five days per week.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:

  • Controls the flow of finished goods, services, and information between point of origin through receipt at the site, through to internal and external customer placement in order to meet product traceability requirements.

  • Ensures the execution and continuous improvement of logistics processes, such as the package booking system, data interchange systems, electronic data systems administration, and related functions.

  • Ensures that customer service and time objectives are achieved within existing financial constraints to meet operating unit’s and financial objectives.

  • Understand and provide guidance on Demo and Conforming product’s storage and shipment to all relevant stake holders.

  • Update relevant documents using Medtronic document control system (MAP)

  • Perform inspections and audits of demo and conforming rooms in accordance with internal Medtronic standards and promptly report any identified non-conformities to the appropriate stakeholders.

  • Attend ANZ Quality meetings to share Demo and Conforming room updates.

  • Build relationships with ANZ staff, courier companies and 3PL through the resolution of delivery issues.

  • Abilities and Skills: Analytical, Project Management, Operational Excellence, Data Analytics, Business Acumen, Learning Agility, Influencing/Negotiation, Cross-level Collaboration and Communication.

Required Knowledge and Experience:

  • A High School Diploma, Vocational Diploma, or equivalent with a minimum of two years' relevant experience in Supply Chain Logistics and Quality Assurance; or an Associate’s degree with at least one year of relevant experience; or a bachelor’s degree.

  • Knowledge and experience in Quality Assurance and Supply Chain Logistics in the medical devices or healthcare space

  • Experience working with Quality Systems (documentation control) & Courier Logistics Systems

  • Knowledge and understanding of relevant Quality Management Standards to ensure safety, regulatory compliance and consistent product quality

  • Demonstrable ability to build solid relationships with external and internal stakeholders at all levels

  • Results-oriented with good organisation and time-management skills, including working independently and unsupervised

  • Able to prioritise, handle multiple tasks and work under pressure

  • Excellent organisational skills, working with method and structure to respond to deadlines

  • Demonstrates strong attention to detail

  • Possesses excellent oral and written communication abilities

  • Skilled at identifying opportunities for process improvements
