A Day in the Life

Join Medtronic as a Sales Market Development Rep and play a key role in expanding access to innovative Aortic therapies that improve and save lives. In this position, you will work at the intersection of sales strategy, customer partnership, and clinical innovation, leading development initiatives in selected strategic accounts. This is an exciting opportunity for a commercially driven professional who enjoys building relationships, working in cross-functional teams, and delivering measurable results. You will have the chance to grow your career in a global healthcare technology company while directly contributing to increased market presence and customer value through our Aortic portfolio and service solutions.

The role covers selected accounts in the Frankfurt area and, in the future, also accounts in the Western part of Germany. It is primarily remote, meaning your home location in the Frankfurt area will serve as your main workplace. You may be required to travel domestically and internationally to support customer engagement, internal collaboration, and business development activities, as well as attend Medtronic locations for meetings when needed. Please note that during the first months of the role there will be an immersion in the field.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:

  • Reinforce the sales process with the sales team, focusing on opportunity management
  • Implement account development plans and strategies for selected accounts
  • Promote and sell Medtronic Aortic devices and Aortic services aligned with customer needs
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers to drive satisfaction and partnership
  • Coordinate collaboration between marketing and sales teams across the matrix organization
  • Lead the Medtronic account team approach for assigned accounts
  • Achieve revenue and market share targets in the assigned territory

Required Knowledge and Experience:

  • Technical or business educational background
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in sales or marketing roles
  • Strong business acumen and ability to work successfully in a matrix organization
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, CRM (Customer Relationship Management) systems, and digital sales tools
  • Results‑oriented mindset with the ability to work toward targets and deadlines
  • Fluency in English and German, both written and spoken
  • Openness to business travel within western German region

Experience in the medical device or healthcare sector would be desirable. Familiarity with account‑based selling, and prior exposure to international collaboration environments would be beneficial as well.
