A Day in the Life
The Field Inventory Analyst is responsible for driving accurate and efficient management of consignment inventory across all field locations. This role collaborates closely with the OU (Operation Unit) Manager, sales teams, supply chain, and service partners to ensure precise SAP inventory alignment, timely reconciliation, and smooth operational processes. The analyst provides in depth reporting, supports process improvements, and maintains strong stakeholder engagement to uphold compliance, reduce discrepancies, and strengthen field inventory accountability.
Key Accountabilities
1.
Field Inventory & Consignment Management:
-
Coordinate cycle counts and field audits with OU teams and service providers to ensure SAP and physical stock alignment.

Track compliance of OU field staff on cycle counts, variance explanations, and expired stock retrieval.

Manage PAR governance, including alignment with OU stakeholders, SAP updates, PAR excess return and Hard PAR release approvals.

Manage consignment eligibility for both customer account, and product point of view by blocking and review proposals for consignment block release approval.

Resolve blocked transfers and SAP transaction issues impacting reconciliation or billing.

Support returns, product movements, consignment transfers, and location accuracy updates.

Reporting & Analytics:

Prepare monthly performance reports for OU and Supply Chain leadership, covering KPIs, count variances, aging, excess and expiry/short-dated trends.

Maintain global consignment count summaries, PAR reporting, and cycle count variance analysis.

Provide OU Managers with ad-hoc reports for stock take or operational needs.

Process Governance & Continuous Improvement:

Identify operational inefficiencies and lead improvement initiatives

Implement process enhancements to improve reconciliation accuracy and overall field inventory management effectiveness.

Build strong accountability within OU field teams and support adoption of best practices.
4.
Stakeholder & Vendor Management:
-
Manage outsourced inventory service providers to ensure timely counts, reconciliations, usage collection, and report delivery.

Collaborate with outsourced inventory service providers and OU to validate and reconcile stock discrepancies.
5.
Compliance & Governance:
-
Comply with corporate policies, Finance/Legal requirements, and Medtronic’s Mission and operating standards.

Respond to internal/external audit inquiries and ensure timely closure of action items.

Maintain consistent and professional communication with internal and external stakeholders.
Qualifications
-
Hands‑on, investigative problem-solving style with strong initiative in locating and reconciling stock.

Strong work ethic and commitment

Interpersonal and communication skills across different levels of hierarchy.

Fluent communication in Thai & English (spoken and written).
Experience and Knowledge
-
2–3 years of experience in Supply Chain or Inventory Management with consignment stock, cycle count, and reconciliation activities.

Demonstrated experience in SAP; MMX knowledge is an advantage.
-
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills with massive data management.
-
Experience with Power Query, Power Apps, Power BI are advantageous.
