Director, Data Scientist
Overview:

The ideal candidate has a knack for seeing solutions in sprawling data sets and the business mindset to convert insights into strategic opportunities for our company.
Role & Responsibilities:
- Partner with global & regional Optimization teams to architect, develop, and Lead cross-functional initiatives using advanced analytics techniques to generate actionable insights, identify optimization opportunities, and support strategic decision-making.
- Deliver clear, compelling insights and recommendations through data storytelling using tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Excel, React-based dashboards, and PowerPoint.
- Translate complex business problems into scalable analytical and technical solutions, ensuring high-quality, timely delivery of data products and analytics solutions.
- Define and drive analytics strategy while applying 80/20 principles to prioritize high-impact opportunities, ensuring focus on initiatives that deliver maximum business value.
- Lead and develop high-performing teams through coaching and accountability, while building strong stakeholder partnerships and driving adoption of analytics outputs across the enterprise.
All About You:
- Proven expertise in designing, building, and scaling AI/ML models to solve complex business problems, with full ownership of the model lifecycle including deployment.
- Proven experience leveraging large language models (LLMs) and enterprise AI platforms (e.g., Claude, Copilot) to drive scalable, secure, and business-impacting AI solutions in production environments.
- Strong hands-on proficiency in Python, Spark, Hadoop ecosystem (Hive, Impala), and SQL to build robust, scalable, and production-grade data pipelines and analytics solutions, with exposure to enterprise BI and visualization platforms such as Tableau and Power BI.
- Ability to translate complex and ambiguous business problems into structured analytical solutions, and communicate insights through clear, compelling narratives that influence executive decision-making.
- Demonstrated success in building, mentoring, and leading high-performing data science teams, fostering innovation, accountability, and continuous learning culture.
- Strong track record of delivering complex, large-scale initiatives in fast-paced environments, managing roadmaps, timelines, dependencies, and stakeholder alignment across business, product, and engineering.
- Ability to operate effectively in ambiguity while ensuring responsible AI practices, model governance, compliance, and effective escalation management across enterprise environments.
Education:
- Bachelor’s or master’s Degree in a Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, M.S./M.B.A. preferred.
